Managing Measurements

Within AENTE, it is essential to register the items in your supply chain. To facilitate this, the measurement feature is available, allowing you to define all the specifications for your items, from size to whether they are active or inactive in the system.
Create Measurements
To begin creating a Measurement certain prerequisites must be met, as outlined below:
- You must have a provider account.
- Your provider account must be assigned a role with the appropriate permissions for creating Measurements, including the following:

- Unit Of Measurement Get All/ Get Self
- Unit Of Measurement Show
- Unit Of Measurement Create
Once you have all the necessary setup, you can follow these steps to create a Measurement:
- Click on the module labeled “Supply Chain”.
- After entering the module, select the option “Measurements”.
- Click the blue button to initiate the creation of a new Provider.
- Upon accessing the creation form for Measurements, you can begin filling out the required fields. These fields are sufficient to correctly create a Measurement, and they include: Name
Note: Even though only the Name field is mandatory, filling out the other fields is extremely important for better organization of your units of measurement.
- After ensuring that all the required fields have been filled out, simply click the blue button labeled “Create Measurement”, and that’s it! Your Measurement will be successfully registered in the system.
Editing Measurements
To start editing a Measurement, you must first meet a few prerequisites, which are:
- You must have a provider account.
- Your provider account must be assigned a role with the appropriate permissions to edit Measurements, including the following:

- Unit Of Measurement Get All / Get Self
- Unit Of Measurement Show
- Unit Of Measurement Update / Update All
Once all the necessary settings are in place, follow these steps to edit a taxonomy:
- Click on the module labeled “Supply Chain”.
- After entering the module, select the option “Measurements”.
- When you see the list of Measurements, fill in the search field with the name of the Measurement you want to edit.
Note: If a Measurement with the searched name exists, the system will return options that match the searched name.
- After locating the Measurement you want, click on it.
- At this point, the system will show you the taxonomy form filled with the information provided when it was created.
- Now, simply delete the information from the desired field and enter the new data.
Example: If the Name field needs to be changed because the Measurement name has changed, just delete the old name and provide the new one.
- Once all the necessary information has been edited, click the blue button labeled “Update Measurement” and that’s it! Your Measurement will be successfully updated in the system.
Deleting Measurements
Note: Nothing is deleted from the system and everything that is “deleted” is actually a status change. Once an item has been deleted you may recover and change the status back to active.

- Unit Of Measurement Get Self / Get All
- Unit Of Measurement Show
- Unit Of Measurement Update / Update All
- Unit Of Measurement Delete /Delete All
Once all the necessary settings are in place, follow these steps to delete a taxonomy:
- Click on the module labeled “Supply Chain ”.
- After entering the module, select the option “Measurements”.
- When you see the list of Measurements, fill in the search field with the name of the Measurement you want.
- If a Measurement with the searched name exists, the system will return options that match the searched name.
- After locating the Measurement you want, click on it.
- At this point, the system will show you the Measurement form filled with the information provided when it was created.
- Now, simply click on the “Delete Measurement” option, and that’s it! The Measurement is now properly deleted from your list of Measurements.
Restoring Measurements
To start restoring Measurements, you must first meet some prerequisites, which are:
- You must have a provider account.
- Your provider account must have a role configured with permissions for restoring species, including the following:

- Unit Of Measurement Get Self / Get All
- Unit Of Measurement Show
- Unit Of Measurement Restore / Restore All
- Unit Of Measurement Update / Update All
Once all the necessary settings are in place, follow these steps to restore a Measurement:
- Click on the module labeled “Supply Chain”.
- After entering the module, select the option “Measurements”.
- At this point, you will need to adjust the filter to display only deleted Measurements by selecting the option “Only Trashed.”
- After completing the previous step, the system will show you all the Measurements that were once part of your list but are now deleted. Fill in the search field with the name of the Measurement you want to restore.
- When you find the Measurement, click on the option shown in the list.
- Upon viewing the yellow card above the form, click on “Restore”.
- That’s it! The Measurement that was previously deleted is now back in your active species list and can be used again.
